Operator Responsibilities

In Germany, the building operator is responsible for these systems and is legally required to conduct regular maintenance and inspections. In the event of damage – such as a fire or technical failure – there is a legal obligation to provide proof of the system’s proper condition and the professional maintenance and inspection of the systems. All work on the systems, such as maintenance, inspections, repairs, or servicing, must be carried out exclusively by qualified professionals for emergency power supply systems. All actions taken must be thoroughly documented in an inspection log – either handwritten or digital.
