Expertise and Consulting
The qualified specialists at GSYSTEMS assess your existing battery-backed power supply for functionality, safety, and compliance with applicable standards.
You will receive a detailed inspection report with recommendations for the proper operation of the system. Based on these recommendations, we will provide a proposal with a comparison of various solution concepts and then begin the planning of the technical system according to your requirements.
Operator Responsibilities
Systems and installations of battery-backed power supplies must always function correctly and reliably. In Germany, the building operator is responsible for these systems and is legally required to conduct regular maintenance and inspections. In the event of damage – such as a fire or technical failure – there is a legal obligation to provide proof of the system’s proper condition and the professional maintenance and inspection of the systems. All work on the systems, such as maintenance, inspections, repairs, or servicing, must be carried out exclusively by qualified professionals for emergency power supply systems. All actions taken must be thoroughly documented in an inspection log – either handwritten or digital.
To competently support you from the planning phase through to completion and throughout the entire maintenance service, the experienced GSYSTEMS team continuously monitors all relevant changes in technical regulations, standards, and legal requirements.
GSYSTEMS protects your investment!
Thanks to this combined expertise and high implementation competence, all aspects of operational safety for battery-backed power supply systems are reliably ensured.
Logbook
Keeping a logbook for emergency lighting systems is mandatory. It must record regular inspections, tests, faults, and modifications. The system operator is responsible for maintaining the logbook and carrying out the required tests. Applicable standards: DIN VDE V 0108-100-1 DIN EN 50171 DIN EN 62034 DIN EN 1838 At minimum, the following information must be included in the logbook: Date of commissioning of the system Date and brief details of each maintenance activity and test, except for the daily test Date and brief details of any fault and the corrective action taken Date and brief details of any modification to the emergency lighting system
