MODULYS GP

The MODULYS GP is a fully modular three-phase UPS designed for applications with demanding requirements for availability, scalability and operational reliability. It has been developed for data centers, computer rooms, banks, healthcare facilities, insurance companies and telecommunications infrastructures where continuous power protection for mission-critical systems is essential.

The system is based on a modular architecture with hot-pluggable power, battery and bypass modules. This enables installed capacity to be expanded step by step without major modifications to the existing infrastructure. The flexible system architecture supports both immediate capacity increases and long-term planned power upgrades.

Particular emphasis has been placed on system availability. The architecture follows a “No Single Point of Failure” design philosophy and supports redundant power concepts with different redundancy levels. Independent power modules and redundant bus connections help maintain reliable operation even in environments with the highest availability requirements.

For maintenance and service operations, the system provides hot-swap functionality for power and battery modules. Components can be replaced while the UPS remains operational, reducing maintenance downtime and avoiding interruptions to connected loads. Integrated communication and remote monitoring functions additionally support integration into modern infrastructure and building management systems.

  • the modular architecture enables step-by-step power expansion without system replacement
  • hot-swap functionality reduces downtime during maintenance procedures
  • the redundant system structure enables high availability for critical applications
  • independent power modules reduce potential points of failure
  • flexible module configuration simplifies future capacity upgrades
  • communication interfaces enable integration into existing monitoring systems
  • maintenance during operation simplifies service activities
  • the scalable platform supports long-term investment and modernization strategies
  • redundant power paths provide additional operational security

The MODULYS GP supports the planning of power protection systems in dynamic IT and infrastructure environments where future capacity growth must already be considered today. Its fully modular architecture allows power capacity to be expanded progressively without replacing the existing installation. For planners, this provides significant advantages through flexible adaptation to changing load requirements and the ability to implement redundant power supply concepts. The compact system architecture supports efficient use of technical floor space and facilitates integration into modern data center and infrastructure projects with long-term development strategies.

The MODULYS GP has been designed for easy expansion and high serviceability. Power, battery and bypass modules can be integrated as plug-in components, enabling structured upgrades and maintenance procedures. Hot-swap technology allows critical components to be replaced while the system remains operational. For installers, this simplifies modernization projects, power upgrades and service operations because existing systems do not need to be completely shut down. Integrated communication capabilities also facilitate connection to higher-level monitoring and management platforms. This supports efficient upgrades and makes future capacity expansion easier to implement.
