Verteiler VIT-A

The VIT-A distribution board has been developed for Group 2 medical locations and provides safe power distribution for socket circuits supplying medical electrical equipment. The system combines an isolation transformer, automatic transfer switching and comprehensive monitoring technology within a ready-to-connect solution for hospitals, clinics and operating environments.

At the core of the system is the integrated ATICS® transfer and monitoring unit. In the event of a failure of the preferred power source, the system automatically transfers to a secondary supply. At the same time, voltages, switching states and the availability of connected power sources are continuously monitored. Transfer times can be adapted to project-specific requirements.

The integrated insulation monitoring system continuously supervises insulation resistance, load current and transformer temperature. For installations with a larger number of circuits, integrated insulation fault location functionality is available, enabling rapid identification of fault sources. Operating, warning and fault messages are displayed in clear text and can be transmitted to dedicated annunciation and control panels for centralized supervision.

Thanks to the energy-efficient Green Line isolation transformer and natural convection cooling, the system operates without additional fans and supports low-noise operation in sensitive healthcare environments.

  • automatic transfer switching enables continuous power supply if one source fails
  • integrated insulation monitoring provides permanent supervision of the medical IT system
  • insulation fault location simplifies rapid identification of fault sources
  • clear text diagnostics enable straightforward evaluation of operating conditions
  • the ready-to-connect design reduces installation and engineering effort
  • natural convection cooling supports low-noise operation without additional fans
  • bus communication enables integration into higher-level monitoring concepts
  • load and temperature monitoring support long-term operational reliability
  • adjustable transfer times allow adaptation to different system concepts

The VIT-A distribution board supports the planning of medical IT systems in operating rooms, intensive care units and other Group 2 medical locations. By combining transfer switching, monitoring technology and transformer functions within a single system, it creates a structured and compliant infrastructure. Its compact design simplifies integration into technical rooms and reduces space requirements compared to individually assembled solutions.

For planners, the integrated insulation fault location function provides significant advantages in complex medical power supply concepts. Integration of annunciation and control panels additionally supports centralized monitoring within modern healthcare infrastructures.

The VIT-A is supplied as a ready-to-connect unit, significantly simplifying implementation of medical IT systems. Integrated circuit breakers, monitoring devices and the isolation transformer reduce the need to assemble individual components on site.

The structured arrangement of components facilitates commissioning, testing and maintenance. Clear text diagnostics allow operating conditions and fault messages to be identified quickly. An optional bypass solution further supports maintenance activities and contributes to high system availability. This enables efficient service operations while minimizing downtime.
