RMU

The Rescue Management Unit is the central control unit of a dynamic escape route guidance system. It provides power supply and control for multiple luminaires within an adaptive emergency lighting system, acting as the central link between power supply and luminaire control. The unit can control and coordinate up to 15 luminaires from the NAOS luminaire family, enabling structured implementation of dynamic escape route guidance in buildings.

Through centralized control logic, escape routes can be guided depending on the situation and clearly structured within a building. For planners, this creates a flexible foundation for dynamic guidance systems, particularly in complex building structures with multiple escape route alternatives.

The unit is designed for operation with central battery systems and supports typical emergency lighting infrastructures in larger buildings. Installation can be carried out either as recessed wall mounting or surface wall mounting, depending on project requirements. This allows the control unit to be integrated into technical areas or installed in zones with higher protection requirements.

The combination of centralized control, clear system structure, and flexible installation simplifies integration into safety concepts and reduces planning uncertainties in dynamic escape route guidance systems.

  • enables central power supply and control of up to 15 NAOS luminaires within a dynamic escape route guidance system
  • reduces planning effort through a clearly defined system structure within emergency lighting
  • simplifies implementation of dynamic escape routing in complex building structures
  • enables integration into emergency lighting systems with central battery supply
  • simplifies coordination of multiple luminaires within a control segment
  • reduces installation effort through centralized control of connected luminaires
  • ensures a clear system structure within dynamic escape route guidance systems
For planners and architects, the Rescue Management Unit serves as the central control component of a dynamic escape route system and provides the foundation for adaptive safety concepts in modern buildings. Especially in complex building structures—such as large office spaces, public buildings, or facilities with variable usage—the centralized control enables flexible escape route management.

By coordinating multiple luminaires centrally, dynamic escape route concepts can be structured and integrated into safety strategies. Architects gain additional flexibility in building design, while planners benefit from a clearly defined system logic for specification and planning.

For installers, the Rescue Management Unit offers a clearly structured system component within a dynamic guidance system. The unit centrally manages power supply and control of multiple luminaires, reducing wiring and coordination effort within the installation.

Installation can be carried out as either recessed or surface wall mounting. This allows adaptation to different structural conditions, such as technical rooms, installation zones, or protected areas. The clear assignment of luminaires within the system also simplifies commissioning and future maintenance.

Centralized control reduces coordination issues between luminaire installation and system technology.
