CAPULUS

The CAPULUS system is specifically designed for integrating emergency lighting into handrails along escape and rescue routes. Instead of conventional wall or ceiling luminaires, the lighting is integrated directly into the handrail structure, creating a continuous, low-level light guidance along stairs, ramps, and circulation routes.

The luminaire set consists of three modules that are installed into standard handrail profiles. This modular design allows flexible planning of emergency lighting along escape routes and adaptation to different building configurations.

The modules feature a stainless steel housing and are designed for demanding environments. With an IP65 rating, the system is suitable for areas with increased moisture or outdoor applications, such as external staircases, ramps, or open escape routes.

The modules are powered via a handrail management unit and can be installed in series along the handrail. Multiple modules can be connected per power supply, enabling continuous emergency lighting along the entire escape route.

By integrating the lighting into the handrail, the emergency lighting remains almost invisible while still ensuring clear orientation along the escape path.
