This catalog covers battery-backed central power supply systems (BSV) in accordance with DIN VDE 0558-507 for hospitals, medical practices and other healthcare facilities.

24 V BSV Systems

These systems are designed for supplying power to operating theatre luminaires. All common luminaire types, including LED and halogen models, can be operated. The operating lights can be dimmed via either internal or external control systems. Components supplied by the operating light manufacturer are integrated into the control cabinets. In the event of a failure or undervoltage condition of the normal mains supply, the emergency power supply takes over seamlessly without interruption. An emergency operating time of one or three hours is then ensured.

230 V BSV Systems

These systems provide safety power supply for electrical loads required to maintain essential services in medical areas and healthcare facilities. The BSV systems directly supply the transformers of the medical IT power system and, depending on the configuration, can operate in standby mode or continuous operation without interruption. In the event of a mains power failure, the integrated battery system ensures power supply for one or three hours.

Distribution Boards and Accessories

Distribution Boards: An IT power system is required for supplying power to Group 2 medical locations. To provide this type of network, a distribution board with an isolation transformer and transfer switching device is necessary. Distribution boards can be configured in various sizes and power ratings to meet specific project requirements.

Accessories: Various annunciation and monitoring systems are available to support convenient operation and status indication of electrical components within medical environments. These solutions enable centralized display and monitoring of relevant system information and operating conditions.
